Studied at Concordia College, Ann Arbor, MI (BA 1985); Westfield House, Cambridge, England; Concordia Lutheran Theological Seminary, St. Catharines (MDiv 1990); and Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, MO (STM 1992, ThD 1997). Author of the Concordia Commentary on Ephesians and Lutheranism 101: Worship. Served Grace Lutheran Church, St. Catharines (1993-99); deployed Tutor at Westfield House, Cambridge (1999-2006); resident professor at CLTS since 2006. Married, with two children.

Author of Lutheran Education: From Wittenberg to the Future (CPH) ) and Serpents in the Classroom (1517 Publishing). Served as pastor at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Barrie, ON (1987-1994), and Grace, Locksley, ON (1994-2006); associate professor at Concordia University Chicago, River Forest, IL (2014-20); retired Canadian Forces reserve chaplain; at CLTS since 2021. Married, with two children and three grandchildren.
