On a cold Wednesday night in February Dr. Korcok joined the confirmation class at Trinity Lutheran Church in Winkler, Manitoba via a Zoom link to talk about the seminary and why young men should consider going into the ministry.  The idea for a remote visit originated with Pastor Alex Klages, who commented, “We are too far away to do an actual visit to either of the seminaries, so I thought it would be easier to have a professor join the class.”  During the class, the boys asked questions about what sort of courses future seminarians should take and what the daily life of a seminarian is like.  Pictured are Logan Harder and Micah Klages joining Dr. Korcok online.

“The concept is an easy and effective way to get our young people thinking about church work,” said Dr. Korcok.  If you would like to do a similar event with a confirmation class or a youth Bible Study, please contact Dr. James Kellerman, Director of Recruitment at jkellerman@concordia-seminary.ca.
