Opening Service 2023: Rev. Kirk Radford Installation

The opening service for the 48th academic year at Concordia Lutheran Theological Seminary was held on Sunday, 10 September 2023, 4:00pm, in the seminary chapel. If you missed it, a recording is available on our YouTube channel and photos are in our gallery.

During the service Rev. Kirk Radford was installed as Assistant Professor of Theology. Rev. Radford, formerly pastor of Christ Lutheran Church, Sarnia, Ontario, accepted the call to join our faculty last June. He will spend the 2023-24 academic year completing a Master of Sacred Theology degree at Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, before beginning to teach full-time in September 2024. We were pleased to be able to present him publicly to the church, bless him with God’s Word and prayer, and commit to him this solemn responsibility.

Rev. Kirk Radford and family

In this new academic year we welcome nearly twenty students in the MDiv and MTS programmes. This includes men studying for the holy ministry and men and women studying theology for personal enrichment or to strengthen their service to the church. In addition to Canadians, the student body includes people from all over the world–Brazil, China, India, Korea, Turkey, and the USA.

Please pray for the students as they begin their studies, for the seminary faculty that they may be faithful in their calling, for the dedicated staff who support them, and for God to raise up benefactors for our seminary whose gifts will ensure that this important work continues. If you wish to make an offering, see the options available on our website.
