On a blustery spring day in April over 80 dedicated supporters of the Concordia Lutheran Theological Seminary Guild representing 22 congregations convened at the Seminary in St. Catharines for their annual Guild Day.

Attendees participated in a productive business meeting, shared in a Matins worship service led by seminary students, and engaged with an insightful presentation by Dr. Dan Smilek of Grace Lutheran Church in Kitchener. His presentation focused on the significance of attention for Christians.

The day concluded with a fellowship lunch and a valuable meet-and-greet session between seminary students and the supporting groups that have adopted them for the academic year.

The Concordia Lutheran Seminary Guild plays a vital role in supporting the Seminary and its students through various initiatives. These include maintaining a food pantry and providing annual gifts to assist Master of Divinity (M.Div.) students as they prepare for the Office of the Holy Ministry. The Guild gathers at the Seminary twice annually for business matters, worship, and fellowship.

The Seminary Guild warmly invites everyone to join them for Harvest Day on Saturday, October 18, 2025, to connect with Seminary staff, students, and fellow supporters. The highlight will of the day will be the choir from St. John’s Lutheran Church, Snyder, which will present a selection of musical pieces.
