The seminary’s annual Call Service for 2025 will take place at Grace Lutheran Church, 213 Linwell Rd, St. Catharines, on Saturday, 24 May 2025, 3.00pm. We invite members of LCC, and especially friends and family of the students and award recipients, to attend this festive event.
Aaron Parkhurst and Vijay Samuel will be certified to be called into the holy ministry and will receive their congregational placement in the service.

We will also announce the placements for one vicar: Joseph Behl. Vicarage is a one-year internship in a congregation where the student receives mentorship from a parish pastor and gains experience in the practice of ministry. Other students will be recognised for their academic achievements at the service.
This year will include the very first graduation ceremony. In the past, our graduates received their degrees from Brock University. Now that we have degree-granting status, CLTS will bestow degrees upon the graduates. Aaron Parkhurst and Vijay Samuel will be receiving their MDiv degree while Rev. Saulo Bledoff and Eduardo Farias will be receiving their MTS degree.
The service will also honour Rev Kurt Lantz, a pastor of Resurrection Lutheran Church, St. Catharines. The faculty and Board of Regents chose him to receive the Delta Chi (Servant of Christ) award, the seminary’s highest honour. Rev. Robert Krestick will also be honoured with the Friend of the Seminary award for his long time service as a member and chair of the Board of Directors.
The service will be livestreamed for those who cannot attend in person. See our YouTube page.
