The spring Guild Day gathering at Concordia, planned for Saturday, 14 April 2018, was cancelled because of the severe ice storm that affected most of southern Ontario. The Guild Executive have now met to consider possible dates for rescheduling.

Unfortunately, it appears that every Saturday between now and Call Day in May has conflicts that make rescheduling impossible. The Executive have therefore reluctantly decided to cancel the spring meeting entirely.

Many Guild members had submitted registration fees for this event and the meal. The Guild Executive will hold your fee as payment for Harvest Day (which will include a hot meal). The registration form for Harvest Day (20 October 2018) will include a line where you can indicate that you would like to apply your Guild Day fee. If you are unable to attend Harvest Day, we can accept it as a donation to the Guild.

If you would prefer to have your fee refunded by cheque, please contact Bonnie Stephenson before Harvest Day at or (905) 688-2362, x34.

  • Election of officers for the Seminary Guild would have taken place at the spring meeting. Because of the meeting’s cancellation, the current officers will stay in office until Harvest Day, when the elections will take place.
  • If you were planning to bring food pantry donations to Guild Day, please feel free to stop by the seminary during normal opening hours (8:30am-4:30pm M-Th; 8:30am-1pm F). The students will be happy to see you! Non-perishable items can, of course, be saved until Harvest Day.
