Two members of the seminary community participated in local Remembrance Day ceremonies. Both Albert Ho, a first-year seminarian, and Dr. Korcok are serving members of the Lincoln and Welland Regiment, where Albert is a 2nd lieutenant and Dr. Korcok is the regimental chaplain. On Thursday, together they laid wreaths at the cenotaph in Thorold: Albert for the Canadian Armed Forces and Dr. Korcok for the Lincoln and Welland Regiment. Reflecting on the day, Albert said, “It is important to show our support for the troops and honour the sacrifices that have been made to protect our freedoms including the freedom of religion.”

The rest of the seminary community marked Remembrance Day in chapel with two minutes of silence and the Rite of Remembrance.

  1. Albert. You made my heart jump for joy. My Uncle Jake that gave his life in WW2 would be very proud of you, as we all are, for your service to your country and The Lord. Blessings. Grant Gattinger
