The seminary’s annual Call Service will take place at Grace Ev. Lutheran Church, 213 Linwell Rd, St. Catharines, on Saturday, 27 May 2023, 4.00pm. We heartily invite members of LCC, and especially friends and family of the students and award recipients, to attend this festive event.
Trey Doak, Jason Gillard, and Nigel Prozenko will be certified to be called into the holy ministry and will receive their congregational placements in the service. Trey lives in Denver, Colorado, and will be placed into a congregation of the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod. Jason, who was baptised at Grace, St. Catharines, and lives in Niagara-on-the-Lake, will be placed into a congregation of Lutheran Church–Canada. Nigel Prozenko, from St Andrew’s Lutheran Church, Halifax, NS, will also receive placement in LCC. Nigel’s uncle, Rev. Kurt Reinhardt, will be preacher at the service.
This year there are no candidates for vicarage placement. Other students will be recognised for their academic achievements.

The service will honour Rev. Warren Hamp, pastor of Faith Lutheran Church, Kitchener. The faculty and Board of Regents have chosen him to receive the Delta Chi (Servant of Christ) award, the seminary’s highest honour. Pastor Hamp is a 1990 graduate of CLTS, who has served LCC as chairman of the Commission on Theology and Church Relations and as a member of the synodical Board of Directors.
The service will be livestreamed for those who cannot attend in person. See our YouTube page.
