In this year’s Lenten newsletter Dr Thomas Korcok writes about a calling across continents. It highlights the legacy of a Lutheran missionary who went into all the world to preach the good news.

Our student profile shines a spotlight on Noel Richards: Noel grew up in a devout Lutheran home in India. At age 11, a severe epileptic seizure led to a two-day coma. His parents vowed that if he recovered, they would dedicate him to God’s service. Though drawn to the church, Noel initially aspired to a career in the Indian army or civil engineering. But, he eventually felt a different calling.
