“Seek and read from the book of the LORD.” (Isaiah 34:16 ESV)

In this year’s Lenten newsletter Professor Kirk Radford profiles one of our online students, Abbie Tang:

Abbie Tang’s journey to Concordia Lutheran Theological Seminary began in China, where she lived until 2015. She moved to Canada at the age of 22. At the time, she was an atheist, but she was also deeply interested in Western history and culture—particularly the contrast between China and the West in matters of human dignity, freedom, and human rights. These questions led her to explore Christianity as she sought to understand the foundations of Western thought. “I wanted to understand why Western societies thought so differently about the human person,” Abbie explains. “That curiosity eventually led me to Christianity.”

The newsletter has been sent out to all congregations in Lutheran Church–Canada. You can read it online here. Please remember to support our mission.
