The central celebration of Concordia’s 50th anniversary will be a festive divine service. This will take place on Tuesday, 20 October 2026, 5pm, during the anniversary conference.
While the conference is restricted to those who have registered, the service is open to the public. The preacher will be CLTS alumnus and former Central District President, Rev. Thomas Prachar. CLTS President, Dr Thomas Winger, will preside at the divine service. A choir of alumni and spouses, together with a brass quartet, will lift the music. We invite and encourage members of local (or distant!) congregations to join us.

Founded in 1976 as a daughter seminary of Concordia Theological Seminary (Fort Wayne) and originally part of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, CLTS has undergone significant growth. Now a seminary of Lutheran Church–Canada, CLTS continues to serve the church across Canada, the United States, and around the world, providing rigorous theological formation for those called to Word and sacrament ministry.
