We would like to introduce Melanie Meleg, the seminary’s new Development Assistant. Melanie will be taking responsibility for receiving donations, issuing receipts, and managing the database. But she will also be in touch personally with the seminary’s supporters across Lutheran Church-Canada. When you hear her voice on the phone, you’ll now be able to put a face to it! Please welcome her as she speaks on the seminary’s behalf.
Melanie moved recently to the Niagara area as her husband, Rev. Michael Meleg, was called to St. Peter’s, Pt. Colborne, and Faith, Dunnville. A graduate of Concordia College, Ann Arbor, MI, Melanie worked previously as an Accounting Assistant and Lutheran school secretary. She is the mother of three children (Katherine, Mary, and Sam). Katherine is married to seminary student, Andrew Korchok.
In signing the Memorandum of Understanding, CLTS agreed to hire a part-time Development Assistant in order to strengthen relationships with the members of LCC and to improve donations to the seminary.

Melanie is an excellent choice for the role of Development Assistant. As a member of the Department for Finance committee of LC-C East District her hard work and thoughtful insights were a great contribution. Congratulations Melanie!
